Godo was born from two young, talented guys, partners in life and in business : David, from Colombia, and Vincent, from Belgium. They have known each other for twelve years and have been married for six. They lived together in Colombia for ten years and have now been living in Belgium for two. David is an industrial and interior designer, he is the creative part of the brand. Vincent is an economist and takes charge of the management of the business.
The idea and concept behind Godo came from David, because he couldn't find swimsuits and thongs that matched what he liked : something special and that made him feel sexy. So he started designing for himself and created his own lines and cuts with the colours, patterns, and fabrics he liked. That's when the brand began to take shape. As for Vincent, he took care of the administrative side, bringing his share of order and organising the accounting.
David and Vincent started their business by selling their products, especially to friends, family, and loved ones in their immediate surroundings, mainly in Colombia. But when they moved to Belgium, they seized the opportunity to expand and decided to create the website, which opened up sales to the whole world, always showing the colours of the tropics and highlighting male beauty ! They have been working on this project for three years now, and since the beginning, it has been a wonderful experience.

Godo is 100% focused on swimwear. They have classic swimsuits, bikinis, strings, and g-strings, always thinking about making everyone look very sexy. The name of the brand comes from a word that is used a lot in Colombia to define someone who is very conservative and very traditional, so the word is a bit of an irony to break with that parameter, and at the same time, it is the beginning of telling people : « Go, Do It ! Dare !!! », so "GoDo".
To create a collection, they try to see what people like each season, always using vibrant colours that are the brand's signature. They use prints and flat colours, showing an explosion of typical Caribbean shades ! They are inspired by people, and they try to use icons from the gay community. They also try to bring out print designs inspired by artists.
The gay community is very important to Godo, and they pay close attention to Gran Canaria, because it's a meeting place for so many gay men from the whole world where they can express themselves, and it is something that the brand also wants to reflect. They design and create 100% for gay men. They want everyone to feel free and sexy and to show themselves to others as they are.
