The news officially broke the last November 18, even though some already knew it for a few days : the Black Lomond bar is no more. It was recently sold and has definitively closed its doors. This is the second gay bar to close its doors at the Yumbo in the space of two months.

The Black Lomond bar was one of the most popular gay bars in recent years on the second level of the Yumbo, with its red lights, its flamboyant decor, its large, often crowded terraces, and its warm and welcoming staff. It lasted two years. It goes without saying that it will be missed by many regulars. This is the second gay bar to close at the Yumbo in the space of two months, following the La Bulle bar which closed in October.
In a statement published on the bar's official Facebook and Instagram accounts, the owner explains that everything happened very quickly and that he did not have the time to say goodbye to his customers and friends as he would have liked.
« Dear Friends, Honored Guests, Wonderful People ! With one crying and one laughing eye, we must inform you today that the doors of the Black Lomond Bar in the Yumbo Center are closed immediately. After two incredible years full of laughter, great conversations, unforgettable nights, and the best audience in the world, the time has come for a new chapter.
We want to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts. The Black Lomond Bar was so much more than just a place to drink – it was a home, a meeting point for friends, and a stage for wonderful memories. Thank you to our friends : Your support, your helping hands, and your constant presence made this place what it was. Thank you to our guests : You filled the Black Lomond Bar with your energy, your joy, and your stories. Each of you contributed to the unique atmosphere. Thank you for the beautiful hours : For every glass shared, every moment of community that we were privileged to experience here.
It was an honor to be your host. We will forever carry this time at the Yumbo Center, the many encounters, and the beautiful memories of Black Lomond in our hearts. Unfortunately, the end came suddenly. So we could not say a proper farewell to you. But now was exactly the right time for this decision. Take care of yourselves and stay healthy! With all the very best wishes and a big thank you, The Black Lomond Bar Team »
The bar has been permanently closed since November 19, and will not reopen. Renovations are expected to be undertaken, and a new establishment should open in January 2026. We hope this is the last closure. At the Yumbo center, every gay bar counts and every gay business is important. We must keep them all alive if we do not want to see the gay identity of Yumbo disappear.
