SaWaDee is a colourful Thai restaurant with a unique style, offering authentic food, a great terrace ambiance and three locations in Maspalomas. Find them in Playa del Inglés, San Agustín, and Meloneras. Same quality food, just a different set.
In the south of Gran Canaria, SaWaDee is a Thai oasis in Maspalomas. There, you will eat amazing Thai dishes prepared by talented chefs native to the country in an environment completely unique. The particularity of SaWaDee is to offer a truly different setting, full of colours and joy, designed both for group evening events and for intimate and romantic meals for couples.
In SaWaDee, you could taste the savour of all traditional Thai dishes like Pad Thai, crispy duck, different currys, fish, meat, vegeterian delights, and more. Try also the house specialities for sharing. Thailand is known for its many rice crops. There, it is mainly agriculture that people depend on, and of course, it characterises the dishes.
« Fantastic food and lovely people, so polite and friendly. Best cocktails too. Such a relaxing atmosphere. I can recommend the pad krapow dish; this was always my favourite in Thailand but is just as good here. »
The food is simple and straightforward. The country is located close to the Laotian borders, and the tradition stands out as rustic, home-cooked food. The specialities contain a lot of chilli and are usually flavoured with herbs, lime, and fish sauce. SaWaDee cuisine is both fresh and useful ; sugar and butter are rarely used in cooking. If you have a sweet tooth, try the desserts with lots of sweet, fresh fruits !
Great authentic food in a unique setting
If you do not want to eat, you can just enjoy the bar for a good drink, chill, listen to music, watch any sporting event on their big screen, or just grab a coffee and feel the Thai atmosphere. This is probably the best place to enjoy Maspalomas' greatest drinks. Inspired by the more paradisaical Southeast Asia, Sa-wad-dee has adapted Thailand's magic and strength to its premises. They have a fresh and relaxed spirit, which takes it a step beyond the beach style to offer another beach experience for those who know how to enjoy without haste.
The bars are open all day until late ! You can come by at any time of the day, and accompanied by Thai cuisine, ice cream, or coffee, you can enjoy the best drinks and cocktails in a nice, warm, friendly, and fun ambiance. All this with excellent service by a professional team that is there to turn your stay into an unforgettable memory.
« What a fabulous setting ! Seating inside, but the outside area is absolutely massive and perfect. Food was really good. I went for level 2 on the heat scale and wasn't disappointed. It was really hot ! Really big portions too, maybe share. Beautiful place. Well done. Thank you ! »
