Maspalomas Gay Christmas

If you're planning a gay Christmas getaway, here’s a guide to making the most of your holiday in this queer paradise.

Maspalomas Gay Beach

1 · Enjoy the weather, the sun, and the high temperatures

In Maspalomas, the weather is always beautiful, all year round, and winter simply doesn't exist here. Even at Christmas, you can enjoy daily temperatures hovering around 25º, with peaks potentially reaching 28º or 30º in the direct afternoon sun. It's the perfect place to pull out your summer outfits, tanning lotion, and sunglasses.

The best way to take advantage of this extraordinary climate is, of course, to head to the beach or a pool. However, since the sun sets earlier in December, remember to leave early to get the maximum warmth and sunshine, but at the same time, not too early, or it won't be warm enough yet. The ideal time slot is between noon and 16h ! This gives you plenty of time for a peaceful lie-in in the morning, recovering from the night's adventures, and also enough time to enjoy a different late afternoon activity and get ready for the evening. But you can also choose to simply relax on a terrace, sipping a cocktail, a beer, or a coffee. What more could you ask for ?

2 · Experience a day pass at a gay-friendly or exclusively gay resort

One of Maspalomas' unique features is the abundance of gay or gay-friendly accommodations. If you aren't staying at one of these places, what better idea than to take advantage of their facilities by treating yourself to a day pass ?

Day passes generally allow you to spend a full day at the establishment of your choice, from morning until late afternoon. Once there, you can comfortably settle by the pool, grab a lounge chair for sunbathing, treat yourself to a drink at the bar, and sometimes even have a midday snack, all while enjoying cheerful company and a musical atmosphere.

Look around: there's constant fun and flirting everywhere; the activity is non-stop, and all these guys around you are eager to meet people and make new friends. This is the moment to jump in and enjoy the vibe! The most popular places to experience the day pass are the Axel Beach Hotel and the Ritual Hotel (which are gay-friendly but not exclusively gay) and the Tropical La Zona complex (100% gay). The price of day passes generally ranges from 10 € to 25 € on average; be sure to check the cost before you go. You won't regret it !

3 · Book a clothing-optional, men-only,gay boat party

Boat trips never stop in Gran Canaria, and even in winter, you can treat yourself to a gay boat party. You won't be cold, and you'll feel the sun warming your skin offshore in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Even better: Gay boat parties are designed for men only, and going nude is allowed !

Give free rein to your instincts and your most passionate desires! What happens on the boat stays on the boat—no one judges you, no one imposes limits, and you are as free as a fish in the water !

But be warned: the gay boats are weekly and only sail on Friday. Don't miss this unique opportunity; book early to guarantee your spot and experience this exceptional erotic and sensual adventure. The price is only €75 per person, all-inclusive, including drinks and a meal.

4 · Don't miss the best After-Beach !

What could be better after the beach than a nice relaxing break in a chill-out atmosphere, surrounded by lots of handsome and charming men like you ? This place exists in Maspalomas; it's one of a kind, and it's called Café Wien.

Located on the top floor of the Cita shopping center, Café Wien is a gay institution that you cannot miss. For over 50 years, this venerable establishment has welcomed gay men from all over the world every day starting at 16h for an after-beach experience you won't find anywhere else. Just one thing: arrive early because it is often difficult to find seating during peak hours. And yet, the place is not lacking in space, with its large terrace and indoor room.

The secret of Café Wien is its German-tradition pastries, renowned throughout Gran Canaria! The cakes are homemade according to ancestral recipes, and the selection changes daily. You can accompany them with a good tea or coffee, even if some prefer a delicious Irish coffee, traditional or with Cointreau (café liqueur), or even a glass of wine, champagne, or a beer. The Café also offers a full menu of ice cream sundaes as well as a daily brunch served only until noon.

Open every day of the week until 19h. except on Thursday, its weekly closing day.

Afterward, the Yumbo transforms into a vast dance floor for the entire night. Don't miss the section called the "Six Pack Zone", where gay men typically gather for an open-air party with international DJs until the early hours of the morning. And it's completely free!
