Maspalomas Gay Traveler Baggage : What to bring in my suitcase ?

Updated: Feb 23

Planning to fly to Gran Canaria and facing a baggage crisis ? What should you pack for a few-days trip to Maspalomas ? Are you sure to have all the essentials that you will need ? Here are some tips a gay traveler might want to consider.

Maspalomas Gay Traveler Ideal Bagage

For some gay travelers, all you need to go to Gran Canaria is lube, aftershave, and a few sets of underwear...But for some other people, it is not so easy. Of course, it depends on the time of the year, if you like to change multiple times per day, if you are a fashion-addicted guy or not, and so on. But one thing is sure : when planning a beach vacation, it is important to create a packing list to ensure that you have everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable trip.

When planning a vacation to the sea and sun destination, it's important to pack wisely so you can make the most of your trip. Here are some essential items to consider bringing in your suitcase, especially for a gay destination like Maspalomas. Remember that the weather in the south of Gran Canaria is always like a permanent summer. The temperatures can change at night, but during the day you can be sure to get 25ºC all year long and often more, up to 30 or 35ºC, so you have to consider bringing mainly beachwear and casual outfits. Here are our detailed items you might want to consider packing and including on your list to be well-prepared for a fun and comfortable vacation in Maspalomas :

  • Light and airy clothes : Pack lightweight and breathable clothes to help you stay cool in the hot weather. Think Bermuda shorts, shorts, t-shirts, boxers, underwear and tank tops. And dont forget a jean, and a sweater for the night (especially if you come in winter).

  • Sunscreen and suntan lotion : must-haves for any beach vacation, above all if you plan on spending a lot of time in the sun. Protecting your skin from harmful UV rays is crucial when you're spending long days outside in the sun. Look for a sunscreen with a high SPF and apply it regularly throughout the day.

  • Beach towel : You'll need towels for drying off after a swim or lounging on the sand. Consider packing a few of them in case they get wet or dirty. But before that, check if your accommodation already comes with, because it is generally the case in Maspalomas. And the same for bathroom towels, household linen, and sheets.

  • Swimsuits : Don't forget to pack a few swimsuits so you can enjoy the beach and pool to the fullest. Bring at least two swimsuits so that you can alternate them and always have a dry one to wear. Discover why, in Gran Canaria, the speedo style or swimbrief is the favorite swimwear you should have.

  • Hats/caps and sunglasses : Protect your face and eyes from the sun with a wide-brimmed hat or caps, and a pair of sunglasses. A hat is a great accessory to protect your face and scalp from the sun. If you need sunglasses, remember that you can find cheap models for only 5 or 6 € at the Yumbo Shopping Centre or at the Cita. Not only do sunglasses protect your eyes from the sun, but they also add a stylish touch to your beach outfit.

  • Beach bag : A sturdy beach bag is essential for carrying all of your gear, including towel, sunscreen, snacks, sunglasses, mobile phone, and even lube and condom (you never know). We recommend specially a backpack that is the most convenient for many uses, like shopping, grocery, etc.

  • Flip-flops or sandals : Opt for comfortable and breathable footwear, easy to slip on and off, that will keep your feet cool and fresh. But don't forget it is not the right way to walk in the dunes. In Maspalomas, the sand is very hot because of the sun, so it is better to wear running shoes or trainers to make your way to the sea.

And of course, don't forget your passport or national identification document (it's enough if you come from a European country), a bank card, some cash, your mobile phone, and its charger. You will also need some medical and health resources like paracetamol, antihistamines, eventualy prep and DoxyPrep, condoms, lube, cockring, dildo, and personal hygienic items. Finally, if you are a fetish lover, you can also bring your better harnee, latex suit and puppy mask, which are very popular in Maspalomas.

Did you forget something ? Pass by Hot Garage Yumbo, Glamour & Erotic Boutik and Scandals Canarias, you will find everything you need to dress yourself and to spicy up your stay in Maspalomas. Good packing guys !
